Kélicia Massala is an intellectual property professional, writer, and international advocate. Her work sits at the intersection of law, innovation, culture, and global development. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Information Technology Law from the Université de Montréal, where she specialized in Intellectual Property. During her academic career, her research focused on trademark law as a tool for economic development in Africa. In particular, she examined the member states of the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI).
Professionally, Kélicia manages international trademark, patent, and industrial design portfolios across multiple jurisdictions. Her expertise spans brand protection, global IP strategy, and prosecution. Furthermore, she addresses the unique legal challenges that rights holders face in an increasingly interconnected marketplace.
In addition to her legal practice, Kélicia serves as an Editorial Board Member for The Fashion Law Journal. In this role, she writes on intellectual property, fashion, beauty, technology, and emerging global trends.
