Stanley Praimnath

Stanley Praimnath is a retired financial executive, motivational speaker, author, and associate pastor whose miraculous tale of survival on September 11, 2001, is considered to be one of the most incredible stories of hope, faith, and connection between people in modern American history. On that day, Praimnath was employed as the assistant vice president for Fuji Bank, Limited, located on the 81st floor of the South Tower (World Trade Center 2). He is known across the globe as one of the only 18 persons above the impact area in the South Tower who managed to survive the attack.

After American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower, Praimnath started the evacuation process. He reached the 78th-floor sky lobby, where he was assured by security guards that his building was safe, and he was told to go back to his office. Praimnath followed their orders and walked back to the 81st floor. Shortly after he reached his desk, he was in a conversation with his colleague from Chicago who warned him. Praimnath turned out to be right as he looked out of the window and saw United Airlines Flight 175 approaching directly towards him. Even though he was in pain, caught beneath piles of heavy rubble, and engulfed by flames and destruction around him, he bizarrely escaped the blow. In an attempt to free himself from the debris, Praimnath started to shout for help in the smoke and darkness.

Luckily for him, his cries were heard by Brian Clark, an executive of Euro Brokers, who was making his way through the stairwell with a flashlight. Following the voice of Praimnath, Clark managed to reach him. With a broken partition in the wall between them, he was trying to get him to tell him where he was by banging his fists against the wall, but Praimnath couldn’t go over the wall, so he broke through it and was pulled out by Clark.

After successfully rescuing Praimnath from the wreckage, Brian Clark shook his hand, and in an extraordinary moment of solidarity, he did not let it go and told Praimnath that he always wanted to have a brother and considered him one that day. Together, these two men were lucky to be among the only 18 people who got out of the South Tower before it collapsed.

After this tragic event, Praimnath was reunited with his wife and daughters and said that it was only thanks to God and the help of the man who saved him that he managed to survive. They became friends after this and since then have been inspiring everybody with their story of survival and perseverance.

As far as Praimnath is concerned, he believes that God has been saving him throughout his life, including the times when he survived both the World Trade Center terrorist attack in 1993 and the September 11 attacks.

At present, Praimnath devotes his life to helping others through motivational speaking and writing. He works as a speaker and author for Bethel Church NYC, where he fills the position of associate pastor.

Most importantly, he enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife, Jennifer, and their two daughters and grandchildren, while working on his project.
