Terms of Sale

These Terms of Sale (“Terms”) govern your purchase of spatial computing services, digital assets, and merchandise offered by The Academic Boardroom. By purchasing products or services from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. General Terms

“The Academic Boardroom” (“we,” “us,” or “our”) refers to the media brand and platform founded by Dr. Eli Joseph and Dr. Janice Gassam Asare. References to “you” or “your” refer to you as an individual user or customer.

2. Spatial Computing Services

• Service Definition: We provide spatial modeling services that convert 2D images (headshots) into 3D character models (the “3D Asset”) for use in Extended Reality (XR) environments.
• Ownership and Licensing: You acknowledge that while you provide the base imagery, the proprietary workflows, technical optimizations, and final 3D file formats created by The Academic Boardroom are our intellectual property. Upon full payment, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal-use license to use the 3D Asset for your professional branding, on-campus events, and digital profiles.
• Asset Delivery: 3D Assets are provided in specified formats (e.g., .usdz). We are not responsible for the compatibility of these files with third-party platforms or hardware.

3. Merchandise

• Custom Orders: Apparel featuring your 3D model is produced on a custom, made-to-order basis.
• Returns and Refunds: Because these items are personalized with your unique 3D model, all sales are final. We only offer replacements or refunds in the event that the physical product is received damaged or defective.

4. Payments and Processing

• Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards and other digital payment methods as indicated during checkout. You represent that your payment information is valid and authorized.
• Non-Refundable Services: Unless required by applicable law or as otherwise stated in these Terms, fees paid for spatial computing services are non-refundable once work on the 3D conversion has commenced.
• Pricing: Prices for services and merchandise are clearly stated at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time.

5. Account Security

• User Responsibility: If you create an account to track your orders, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

6. Disclaimer of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Academic Boardroom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our 3D assets or merchandise. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.

7. Changes to These Terms of Sale

We may, from time to time, change these Terms of Sale. When such changes are made, we will make a copy of the new Terms of Sale available to you on our website. If you do not cancel the services after the changes become effective, you agree to the changed terms.
